Vinyl-Video is an invention of Gebhard Sengmüller. A unique computer program makes it possible to play video and audio data from a conventional vinyl record. The image and sound quality of this "missing link" of media history is extremely limited. The purpose of the record´s production was to examine and experiment with Vinyl-Video´s aesthetic and conceptual specifics.
